Birthday Treat Holder Tutorial

Sorry for the poor photography in this post in advance. I was doing this while the baby was taking a quick nap this afternoon and wanted to get all the way through without interruptions! So today we are going to make this adorable treat holder. We actually created this at a swap a few weeks back and I have been wanting to post it. I think this would be an amazingly cute project for Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day as well! Lets get Started!

Supplies Needed:

8×8 Flashback Designer Series Paper 13369912 x 1 3/8 Flashback Designer Series Paper 133699
Hole Punch 134365
Scallop Punch 119854
Circle Punch 119860
Stamp Set: Big News (Candles and Birthday Greeting) 134018
Ink Pad: Coastal Cabana 131175, Classic Black 126980
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana 131175 and Whisper White 100730
Stamipin’ Trimmer 126889
Bone Folder 102300

Cut your Designer Paper 8×8

Fold corner to corner as shown above

As shown above, score at 3/4

Turn, as shown above, score 3 3/4, flip and score 3 3/4

Fold as shown above

Then, fold at the score lines to create the “infold” as shown above

Punch a hole  in the top and insert some ribbon, I just used some scrap ribbon but you can find some cute ribbon my website here

Cut a piece of designer series paper 12 x 1 3/8 and score it every 1/2 inch to create the flower underneath the scallop.

Fold in a zig-zag pattern

Fold in a circle as shown above, and hot glue the edges

Fold the top down as shown above. I found it was helpful to hot glue the center to hold it down.

Cut out a Scallop and a Circle, using the Big News Stamp Set stamp the birthday candles. Layer as Shown

In the front side, you can put a treat, but on the backside you can make a card! This one is 3×3, I wrote the sentiment on the back and the stamped image is on the front!
